Hermes AgentA self-improving workhorse for GTM & Ops

Hermes Agent is an open-source, self-hosted autonomous agent by Nous Research. Pyra designs, deploys, and manages it for GTM, Sales, Marketing, and Operations workflows — running on infrastructure you control, with guardrails and human approval gates around every action. We handle provisioning, credential scoping, skill curation and review, and the human-approval workflow so the platform is built for accountable, long-running work.

Independent implementation partner: Hermes Agent is a product of Nous Research. Pyra is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Nous Research — we design, deploy, and manage agent workflows on the platform for our clients. Platform facts verified August 17, 2026.

    Who this is for

Teams that want an agent that compounds over time

    GTM & RevOps Leaders

A long-running agent that curates research, drafts outreach, and keeps records tidy — on infrastructure you control, with approval gates before anything ships.

    Sales & Marketing Teams

Skills that get more capable the longer they run — for account research, content drafts, and campaign prep, all reviewed by your team before use.

    Operations Leaders

An autonomous agent you can reach from Telegram while it works on a cloud VM — with scoped credentials, guardrails, and audit trails around its actions.

    What we deploy it for

Four workflows we configure Hermes Agent to run

    1) GTM & Research
We configure the agent's built-in web search to compile account and market research, with human review before it informs go-to-market decisions.
    • Account and market research via the built-in web search tool
    • Long-running enrichment that improves as skills compound
    • Structured briefs assembled for your team to review
    • Approval gates before research drives any action
    2) Sales Enablement
We set up drafting workflows that use the agent's model plus Tool Gateway tools to prepare outreach and prep, always reviewed before it reaches a contact.
    • Draft outreach and follow-up prepared for human approval
    • Deep, session-aware context that builds over time
    • Image generation via the Tool Gateway for enablement assets
    • No message sent without a human review gate
    3) Marketing Content
We curate skills so the agent drafts and researches content, using web search, image generation, and TTS from the Nous Portal Tool Gateway.
    • Content drafts and research grounded in web search
    • Image generation and text-to-speech via the Tool Gateway
    • Skills the agent creates from experience and refines in use
    • Editorial review before anything publishes
    4) Operations
A self-hosted, long-running ops agent on infrastructure you control — from a $5 VPS to serverless — with the human-approval workflow Pyra builds around it.
    • Runs on a VPS, GPU cluster, or serverless (Daytona, Modal)
    • Reachable from Telegram while it works on a cloud VM
    • Scoped credentials and access boundaries per workflow
    • Actions logged with audit trails and approval gates
    Why Hermes Agent

    Verified platform facts

    A built-in learning loop

According to Nous Research's documentation, Hermes Agent is "the self-improving AI agent" with "a built-in learning loop — it creates skills from experience, improves them during use, nudges itself to persist knowledge, and builds a deepening model of who you are across sessions." Nous Research also describes it as "the only agent" with that loop — a claim we attribute to the vendor rather than state as our own.

An autonomous agent, not a wrapper

Per Nous Research, Hermes Agent is not a coding copilot or chatbot wrapper — it is an autonomous agent that "gets more capable the longer it runs." That makes it a fit for the long-running GTM and operations work Pyra configures around it.

    Runs wherever you put it

According to Nous Research, the agent runs on "a $5 VPS, a GPU cluster, or serverless infrastructure (Daytona, Modal) that costs nearly nothing when idle." It is not tied to a laptop — you can talk to it from Telegram while it works on a cloud VM. It installs on Linux, macOS, WSL2, native Windows, and Android (Termux), with a desktop installer available.

Open source with a unified tool gateway

Hermes Agent is open source under the MIT license and, per Nous Research, has 230,000+ GitHub stars as of August 17, 2026. The Nous Portal uses one OAuth to cover a model plus four Tool Gateway tools: web search, image generation, text-to-speech, and browser.

    How Pyra deploys it

Scope, integrate, then manage and iterate

    1. Scope & pilot

We pick one GTM, Sales, Marketing, or Operations workflow with a clear result and stand up a focused pilot so you can validate value before expanding.

    2. Integrate & configure

We connect your tools, provision the self-hosted deployment, scope credentials, and set guardrails, approval gates, and access boundaries around every action.

    3. Manage & iterate

We monitor, curate and review skills, tune performance, and expand to new workflows — with audit trails on the agent's actions throughout.

    FAQ

Common questions about Hermes Agent deployment

Is Pyra affiliated with Nous Research?

No. Pyra is an independent implementation partner. We are not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Nous Research. We design, deploy, and manage Hermes Agent workflows on the platform for our clients.

Where does the agent run and who controls the data?

Hermes Agent is self-hosted — you can run it on a $5 VPS, a GPU cluster, or serverless infrastructure such as Daytona or Modal. Because it runs on infrastructure the client controls, Pyra scopes credentials, sets access boundaries, and configures approval gates so data stays in your environment.

Does Pyra let the agent act on its own?

No. We configure human review and approval gates around the agent's actions. Hermes Agent can draft, research, and prepare work, but actions that touch your systems or contacts pass through your team before they go live, with audit trails.

    Is Hermes Agent production-ready?

Hermes Agent is an actively developed open-source project by Nous Research; the recent release is v0.20.0, dated August 3, 2026. We start with a scoped pilot on one workflow so you can validate results before expanding.

    Next step

Deploy Hermes Agent with guardrails in place

Start Free to scope a first workflow. Then we provision the self-hosted deployment, set credential scoping and approval gates, and manage it as your skills compound.
